I have Opposition!!! :D

Opposition came in the post only a few days ago!!

After receiving my amazing book in the post, on a bank holiday (by the way) and being told it wouldn't come, I had great faith it would! And to prove them wrong it did come!

I vowed I wouldn't read it until I had read Origin again, but that wouldn't be for a while, and after reading a few other new books, I could not help but give into temptation!!

And after finishing it only yesterday, I am not disappointed in my wait for the book! All I can say is that I am gutted I waited to long to read it, but hey, better late than never they say!!

I can't say anything about it or give a review yet because that would be cheating, Origin has to come first, so once I have the book and have read it again, I will deliver that review, and I guess I'll just read Opposition again for my own sake because I am so in love with it!! ;)

Anyway guys, keep reading ;) and peace out!

Peace out!

It's late, but I finally finished re-reading Opal!! And I just ordered Opposition!! :D Excited much!!

So to start off, I'm what? 3-4 days late in delivering my fresh 2nd review for Opal as I finally finished re-reading it! I also bring news of the people who do the covers for the books and will be telling of my excitement for Opposition which I have not read yet!!

NO ONE IS LIKE DAEMON BLACK.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn't fooling around. Doubting him isn't something I'll do again, and now that we've made it through the rough patches, well... There's a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can't protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I'm no longer the same Katy. I'm different... And I'm not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I'm capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won't turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we're stronger... and they know it.

So I've just brought youtube up to give me inspiration for my review. And if I'm being honest the book does not really need it because it's amazing all by itself, but hey, I just love music! I'm going to recap what I said last time, 1) I'm sorry for the really late review and 2) I just finished re-reading the book what? 5 minutes ago, and again the ending had me in tears. Why? Because we know that Daemon as a character only has one real weakness - and that's losing the people he cares about.

Reading the book again doesn't stop me from feeling nervously anticipated despite knowing everything that is going to happen. It makes me so mad when the enemy, the person who killed Adam in Onyx returns, especially when he betrays them for a second time, Blake is such a douchey character. Also Dee turns her back on most of her friends after losing Adam, which was a stupid thing to do but it's also understandable when your grieving. It just doesn't help when Carissa goes missing, is used and then self destructs, because Dee can never get closure in that sense and the guilt will eat away at her.

However, after risking everything to help those they love most you get to experience a short but beautiful reunion between Dawson and Beth, however a problem arises in the name of Blake, because lets face it, he can never be trusted - but he'll get whats coming to him, I know that for a fact. The tragedy that strikes leaves out favourite love interest split apart because when taking a huge risk there is always a consequence, and it's the most heart breaking thing, because seeing Daemon's pain at knowing he's lost Katy it so intense you can feel the emotion. I love it and hate it at the same time - the way an author can make you feel the character's emotions. However as mentioned in my last review for the book you should checkout what would be an ideal theme tune for the book - Follow My Voice by For All Those Sleeping, it's awesome, but unless you can handle a bit of rock then don't go there ;)

Next I'm commenting on the model's for the book cover's, because after reading Obsidian and Onyx a couple of year's ago I went all stalker mode, and I tracked down on Jennifer L'Armentrout's page in an interview that they happened to be a couple, how romantic right? I guess that's why there's so much chemistry in the body language in the cover's, not just that though, they have done multiple book cover's for different writer's, for example Abbi Gline's Existence series concluding of Existence, Predestined and Ceaseless, I happen to really love this series, it's about a girl falling in love with Death, but that's a review for another day. They also appear on the Significance series, which I cannot remember for the life of me who its by, but if you want to let me know or hit me up with some comments that'd be great, maybe we can get a debate going.

Lastly, I want to talk about the fact that just before I started this review 25 minutes ago, I bought Opposition which is the last book in the Lux series sadly, the only book I have not read. I'm so excited but at the same time I'm dreading the moment I reach the last page. I hate finishing a series so much because the author is no longer writing about the character's, which puts them in a freeze in time while we people in the real world continue to move forward without them, which sucks. But altogether I am so excited to find out about Daemon and Katy's ending, because in Origin there is another huge cliff hanger that the book end's on.

Let me know your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment and I'll have my review for Origins for you as soon as possible ;)

Okay... So maybe I lied....

Hey look I'm sorry I said my review on Opal would be soon and it's been well over four weeks, but I have a good reason!

So I may or may not have lied when I said I'd have my review done for the Opal out of the Lux series done soon. I swear it was not intentional, I would never do that to you guys! So as it was coming up for Easter and I was travelling to see someone, I was staying with them for a good three weeks, so I had this huge bag I had to heave on a two and a half hour public transport journey (feel sorry for me please?) and as hard as I tried I couldn't fit my book in my bag, I'd even tried to get both Opal and Origin's in, but it just did not work, so I could not  get my review done.

However, in the here and now (possibly five weeks later) I have travelled back to London and got the book which I will start reading immediately today, for you guys of course (and maybe partly for my own selfish reasons) and will have a review done by latest tomorrow, or Sunday after I finish work sadly.

Hey guys!!

Just to start off, I'm going to come clean and be honest here, since it's been ages between my posts I have not read the Lux series in a long time, those very books were what inspired me to do my blog, as you can see from them being the first series I decided to review. And now I have this obsessive need to do the books according to their series with no interruptions through posts of other books. However, I have started reading the series again (mainly because I'm in love with the Lux series, but thats between me and you, right guys?) also so I can refresh myself of the great works within those books. and I will next be starting Opal again, and shortly after finishing that will read Origins and have my review ready for that. Which also gives me time to buy Oppositions (which Im totally ready for!!) and have a review for that after!! Then I will start reviewing either another series, or a stand alone book.
Thanks, leave a comment on your thoughts!!
Peace out guys!!!

Latest read: Opal by Jennifer L'Armentrout

So tonight someone I specifically asked not to read my blog decided to  start reading out a previous post to me, and after reading through my old posts I  have decided to continue my reviews on the books.

Opal has the most heart breaking ending that I know of so far, the quest to get back what is important to Daemon and Dee is intense and after knowing that the people they care about are still alive, all bets are off as to keeping quiet and everything under wraps. Someone who is the enemy and not to be trusted returns and the small group are forced to trust them or face not getting the person they care about back.

Once they have Dawson it becomes his soul mission to get back Beth, but in doing so and getting her back they lose someone else dear and Dee finds that not being forgiving can be the worst thing you can do when you've already lost your soul mate, so losing your best friend can be a bummer too.

The ending actually had me crying, and then after listening to some new bands I have found a song that is fitting to be the books theme tune, check out Follow My Voice by For All Those Sleeping. You can just imagine the cheesy scene where all the characters standing together while the wind blows gently with Daemon and Katy at the back.

Altogether I think Jennifer has managed to leave us on a dreadful fate determining cliff hanger where were hoping for a happy reunion between our favourite love interest and everyone else's happiness.

My Latest Read: Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

The sexual tension within this book develops, I know right? It did not seem like it could, BUT HEY, GUESS WHAT?! IT DID!! You also find that Katy makes quite a lot of huge mistakes, Also this new character they introduce? HELL YES HE'S ATTRACTIVE!! But if your a very suspicious person like moi then you will be wary of him, I just didn't think he was right - there was something off about him straight away... Any who it also sucks how much time Daemon and Katy do NOT spend together within the book after certain training starts! Telling you what the training was for would be a crazy major spoiler!

Moreover you find that events hold things that you would never expect, so expect the unexpected! Because some of the events within the book are quite shocking. I do recommend the book, how could I not? Jennifer's work is so amazing and breath taking, the romance and sexual tension has you smiling and laughing when you never think you could!

People will die, friendships will be broken, and new threats will arise...
